obtained my MSci in Physics from Imperial College, London and currently undertaking my PhD as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training for Photonic Integration and Advanced Data Storage. My research currently focuses on studying slow light behaviour and group dispersions in Epsilon-Near-Zero media which have reportedly been shown facilitate other such exotic optical phenomena as driving strong optical nonlinearities and negative refraction. Specifically, my project entails a strong element of numerical simulations for which I use commercial FDTD software (Lumerical). In addition, the numerical work is supplemented by experimental characterisations. I am particularly, at the moment, interested in investigating slow light propagation in the strongly coupled gold antenna-ENZ system.
